Event Details
Christmas is coming to Cork city centre.
A Cork Christmas Celebration, the city’s festive programme formerly known as Corkmas, brings weeks of lights, markets, music and family fun to the streets of Cork.
It all kicks off with the Christmas Parade, which fills the city with light and colour and marks the official start of Christmas in Cork. From there, the city comes alive with festive markets, including the Christmas Markets in Bishop Lucey Park, perfect for browsing handmade gifts and seasonal treats. Cork’s much-loved Ferris Wheel is back too, giving you a spin high above the rooftops, and Counting House Plaza becomes the city’s Christmas entertainment hub, with live performances and festive fun.
It’s a celebration for everyone: families with small children, friends meeting for a festive evening out, and visitors soaking up the atmosphere in Ireland’s second city. Most of the programme happens outdoors in the heart of Cork city centre, so wrap up warm and make an evening of it.
Full details for every event, including travel and parking information, are on Cork City Council’s Christmas pages.
