Event Details
Ireland’s oldest film festival returns for its 71st edition, filling Cork city’s cinemas and theatres with new films from home and abroad for eleven days in November.
From Thursday 12 to Sunday 22 November, the Cork International Film Festival screens features, documentaries and short films at three main venues: the Arc Cinema, the Everyman and Triskel Arts Centre. Irish and Cork short films have their own competition strands, so it’s a great chance to see new local talent on the big screen alongside international work.
The festival suits regular cinema-goers, film students and anyone looking for something different to do on a November evening. Festival passes are available, including student and under-25 options, so it’s easy to make a week of it.
Check the full programme on the festival website and book your screenings early, as popular films often sell out.
