Mayo School of Music – Kiltimagh & Castlebar

Established in 2006, Mayo School of Music provides high-quality music tuition for children, teenagers and adults from our schools in Kiltimagh and Castlebar, Co. Mayo. We welcome students of all abilities, from complete beginners learning purely for enjoyment to experienced musicians and students preparing for graded examinations and advanced study.

Our experienced teachers provide tuition across a wide range of instruments and musical styles, including classical, contemporary, traditional Irish, rock and pop.

Lessons available include:

Piano • Singing • Acoustic Guitar • Electric Guitar • Bass Guitar • Violin • Viola • Drums & Percussion • Saxophone • Flute • Recorder • Oboe • Tin Whistle • Button Accordion • Banjo and Wood Flute.

Depending on the instrument, tuition is available through one-to-one lessons and small group classes, with lessons tailored to suit each student’s age, ability and musical goals. We also provide preparation for Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM) examinations, as well as support for students who simply want to learn an instrument and enjoy making music.

Trial lessons are available, giving new students the opportunity to meet their teacher and experience a lesson before continuing for the term.
