The Jazz Department at Newpark Academy of Music is a vibrant community for aspiring and experienced musicians who want to explore the rich tradition and evolving art of jazz. Through ensemble performance, improvisation, theory, ear training, and one-on-one instruction, students develop the skills, creativity, and confidence needed to grow as artists.

Our program welcomes instrumentalists and vocalists of all backgrounds, offering opportunities to collaborate, perform live, and learn from experienced educators and working musicians. From classic swing and bebop to contemporary jazz and fusion, students engage with a wide range of styles while building a strong musical foundation.

Whether you’re looking to sharpen your improvisation skills, join a jazz ensemble, or deepen your understanding of the genre, the Neepark Academy of Music Jazz Department provides an inspiring environment where musicians can learn, create, and connect.
